Barcelona are reportedly planning a squad overhaul, and one of the first out the door could be Arda Turan, with Arsenal set to make a £25 million bid for the Turkey international.

According to CNN Turk (h/t ESPN FC’s Jack Rathborn), Barca would be willing to accept such a bid for the player they signed from Atletico Madrid in 2015 for £24 million.

The report added Arsenal potentially see Turan, 30, as a replacement for Mesut Ozil, who has yet to sign a new contract.

It would be little surprise if Barca let Turan go, especially if they could make their money back on him.

He has never been able to nail down a regular first-team spot at the Camp Nou and has started only 13 times in La Liga in 2016-17, scoring three goals and providing three assists, per

Barca have enough attacking talent on their books that they don’t necessarily need a player like Turan, but he could be a decent addition at Arsenal given his numerous qualities, per WhoScored:

As he proved with his UEFA Champions League hat-trick against Borussia Monchengladbach back in December, Turan can still impress at the highest level, while he also has experience of winning La Liga titles with two different clubs.

Meanwhile, Barca could reportedly face competition from Manchester United in their pursuit of Borussia Dortmund star Ousmane Dembele.

Mundo Deportivo (via The Sun‘s Alec Shilton) reported last month that Barca were eying the 19-year-old attacking midfielder as a key summer target.

However, United manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly planning “to test Borussia Dortmund’s resolve” by making a bid, although only an offer of up to £50 million would realistically suffice, according to The Sun‘s Dan King.

Dembele only moved to Signal Iduna Park from Rennes last summer, penning a five-year deal.

He has proved to be an astute purchase, impressing both in the Bundesliga and in the Champions League, as he has returned a combined eight goals and 16 assists in 37 appearances, per WhoScored.

Already a France international, Dembele has all the flair and talent to be a big star at the Camp Nou.

But Dortmund’s likely reluctance to sell for anything other than a huge fee and United’s potential challenge both suggest there will be big stumbling blocks in place for Barca.
